• 1 Karen Hill Tribe Silver Wire Wool Ball Large Bead
1 Karen Hill Tribe Silver Wire Wool Ball Large Bead these are whimsical and lovely and basically just a jumble of karen silver wire soldered together so they are quite stable just imagiine that you had rolled a ball of wire up and then sealed it up with solder well we think that this is how these were made with no apparent hole you have to thread your own way through to use this and perhaps you could use it as a feature and/or hang dangles from it its one of those where you must add imagination! Each bead measures approx. 15mm and we think they are pretty darn cool.

This item is made by the Karen Hill Tribe situated in the north of Thailand. The tribes were originally nomadic until they settled in mountainous regions of Thailand. Village families specialise in a particular style of bead so our collection is made by a range of craftsmen. Karen silver, also known as Tribal Silver or Hill Tribe Silver is almost pure at 99.5 to 99.9% silver, the remainder being the solder which bonds pieces together. Karen silver appears different from sterling silver - this silver is white and shining (unless antiqued!) and satiny, the hand-hammered and chased details are wonderful and you can actually see evidence of each piece being handmade.

We buy directly from the makers so you can be sure of their authenticity.
